For Honours in
English, Bengali, Political Science, History, Philosophy and Sanskrit
candidates are required to have scored at least 45% marks in aggregate and at
least 50% marks in the proposed Honours subject at Higher Secondary or
equivalent.

For Honours in
Chemistry and Mathematics candidates are required to have scored at least 50%
marks in aggregate and at least 55% marks in the proposed Honours subject at
Higher Secondary or equivalent.

For Honours in
Physics candidates must have scored at least 50% in aggregate, 55% marks in
Physics and pass marks in Mathematics at Higher Secondary or equivalent.

For Honours in
Economics candidates must have scored at least 50% in aggregate and 45% marks
in Mathematics at Higher Secondary or equivalent.

For Honours in
Geology candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in aggregate and at
least an average of 50% marks in three elective subjects at Higher Secondary or
equivalent.

For Honours in Botany
and Zoology candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in aggregate and at
least an average of 55% marks in Biology and pass marks in Chemistry at Higher
Secondary or equivalent.

Candidates with
Commerce at Higher Secondary or equivalent are required to have scored at least
50%marks in aggregate and at least 50% marks in Accountancy.

Candidates without
Commerce at Higher Secondary or equivalent are required to have scored at least
50% marks in aggregate and at least 50% marks in mathematics.

For General Course in
B.A. and B.Sc. candidates are required to have scored at least pass marks at
Higher Secondary or equivalent.

A] For General Course
in B.Com , candidates with Commerce at Higher Secondary or equivalent are
required to have scored at least 30% marks in Accountancy.

B] For General Course
in B.Com. , candidates without Commerce at Higher Secondary or equivalent are
required to have scored at least 30% marks in Mathematics.
Ø
The minimum
eligibility for the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates will be 25%
less marks than that secured by the last candidate belonging to the General
category in Honours and General Course.
Ø
3% of the total
number of seats in all streams will be reserved for physically handicapped
candidates for which a candidate has to produce a certificate issued from any
government hospital showing at least 40% handicap.
