A
candidate admitted to B.A. General course is required to choose any three
subjects from among the following:
Economics,
Bengali, Political Science, Philosophy, Sanskrit, English, History&
Physical Education
However
combinations that are not allowed are as follows:
Ø
Philosophy cannot be taken with Sanskrit.
Ø
History cannot be taken with Sanskrit.
Ø
English cannot be taken with Bengali.
A
candidate admitted to B.Sc. General Course (Pure Science) is required to choose
any three subjects from among the following:
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geology & Physical Education
A
candidate admitted to B.Sc. General Course (Bio Science) is required to choose
the following combination:
Botany, Zoology, Chemistry & Physical Education

In addition to the above combination of subjects, all students will have to
take Compulsory English, Compulsory Bengali (or Alternative English) in Part- I
Ø
Students have to study Environment Science in Part – III
Ø
Students opting for subjects wherein field – work is mandatory (such as
Geology, Zoology, Botany etc.) will have to compulsorily attend govt. approved
field trips.
Ø
Since the College has no provision of teaching Hindi, candidates cannot opt for
Hindi.
